Description:
This lovely old building on Old Town Square has been converted into a luxury hotel (the attic apartment, with its spiral staircase and massive timber beams, is our favourite) with parquet floors, oriental rugs and reproduction antique furniture. The big selling point is its location - hang out of your window and watch the Astronomical Clock go through its paces.
The 30 large well-appointed rooms are filled with heavy antique furniture and rugs, paintings, wooden floors and chandeliers, while some have the additional charm of painted wooden-beamed ceilings. You'll pay extra for a room with a view of Old Town Square , but for this level of quality, it's still reasonable value compared to many top-end Prague Hotels around town. If you have too much spare change jingling in your pockets, you could splash out on the huge two-level 'presidential apartment'. Very expensive, but one of the city's finest places to lay your head. All guests receive a 20% discount for a city sports centre, great if you're up for a game of tennis. Walk out the door and you're on Old Town Square, and all the sights of the Old Town are within easy walking distance. Downstairs there's a very good restaurant, which displays an extensive collection of antique clocks.
